Sharing some information about our history with reference to today's date i.e 30th of December.Fortunately i came to know about this just now going through some pages of history on the internet.Here it goes...
On December 30, 1973, Bhutto laid the foundation of Pakistan's first steel mill at Pipri, near Karachi.An agreement was signed with USSR to provide assistance in its construction.It is spread over an area of 18,660 acres and was completed at a capital cost of Rs.24,700 million.the project was completed by the year 1984 and was formally launched by the then president of Pakistan on 15th January, 1985.
